Just about everyone in chat said they should go for it, and they did.
No complaints from me
You kick the damn FG!
Not from me either except the play call sucked. Same play that lost yards last time they went.
Weren't people asking for a run last week? This is why they did not run last week.
if its that short - go for it
This game, I agree with it. We were not facing a really stout D and we needed the points. We were not losing just by a little.
Horrible game to watch. We really stunk it up.
It was a bold move, and way on the bottom of the totem pole of things to whine about in this game.
Defense is really bad, but we are still in second place for the division.
Forte is a great runner when there isnt anybody in front of him,he isnt a player that would take two or three blockers with him..so Bush was the man to BUST through the line for the short score..only Bush couldnt fight his way out of a wet paper bag...
paper bag I know Bush is wet but thought he just pissed himself
Yeah, but we don't prioritize well.... An opportunity to whine is an opportunity to whine ;)
Only because the Lions will still be the Lions, no matter how much talent they get. That and Rogers is injured.
Take the 3 pts. Take the 3 pts. Take the 3 pts. It would have cut their lead to 7? We were not getting blown out at that point.
I don't fault Trestman for going for it there but the play call was typically shitty. In fact, Trestman's inside-the-5 management has sucked hard all year. I don't understand why he brain farts so often deep in the red zone. Your best offensive weapons are Marshall, Unicorn, Jeffery, and Forte.....by far. I don't see Bush on that list.
Forte has always struggled on goal line pushes.
And the passing game, how did that work last week? Left everyone calling for the run.
Most coaches take the points, but Trestman is a gambler. Why didn't the Bears ever call that pitch-out to Forte and let he run wide? That's been a pretty good play, and we didn't see it all day.
Than he skould play poker. At that momount in the game we needed those pts. It looked like we were clawing our way back to the game; we needed those pts; we needed that small victory. Instead we gave rams a major one.
Did Trestman write a book called: "How to Gain 426 Yards and Not Score" ?
Because, as much as I like what he's done for the offense, he can't seem to get it done way too often inside the 5. It's very strange how he moves the ball beautifully and then gets us stuffed or picked from the 2. I'd like to know how many plays from scrimmage we have run this year from inside the 5 without scoring. We have to be leading the NFL in that weird stat. We had about 13 today alone. Not good.
It was early in the first half, we spent the rest of the game "Clawing our way back," only to have our defense escort their RBs down the field like paid valets.
