I have added the ability for Superfan members to ignore threads which they do not wish to see. Sorry, Superfans help support the site, so they get the bells and whistles. Becoming a Superfan is fairly cheap and costs FAR less than a tank of gas. See this thread for more information: http://www.dabears.com/threads/become-a-superfan.510/

Why is this something you would need? Well, as always, you can pretty tired of certain threads about Cutler, Bears and Hard Knocks etc..

What this feature does is allows members to simply ignore them. It's fairly simple to do, and also allows you to manage them incase you wish to un-ignore them.

See the screen shots below. It's pretty simple and self explanatory:

I've got a question. I no longer see some threads but I do not have any threads ignored.

Any idea why that would be?

    yeah... kinda weird.

Could be someone posted something about the Packers and it knows I won;t read it so it doesn't even show up. Other than that, I got nothing...

We aren't able to see specifics about your ignore features. I could dig into the database directly, but that's a pain in the butt.

It could be that you ignored the member who started the thread if you can't see just that thread.

Do you have anything in this area of your account settings:

No Ski - nothing there. No ignored threads. Would ignoring member do more than ignoring their posts? ie -- (ignore the whole thread)? Is that the way it's supposed to work?

It just ignores their posts. However, if that member creates a thread you won't see that thread.

Just so I fully understand what you're seeing.... When you go to the Chicago Bears forum, and look through the threads you can't see the FA Updater thread?

Or when you go to "New Posts" at the top and it shows the latest posts, the FA updater isn't there?

This sounds very hard to isolate. One thing you could try is to clear all the cookies on your machine. Maybe you clicked something by accident, and the site has placed something in the cookie that is preventing you from seeing certain threads. Wish I had something more solid, but this looks to be isolated to your account, which means it's something odd that occurred. So the cookie may be the issue.

Please let me know how it works. I want to help you resolve this.

The publisher works very hard to make sure the community is running the best software, best designs, and all the other bells and whistles. We have a pretty robust server, and more comes out of my pocket than you would imagine. Care to buy us a beer? We'd really appreciate it! After all, belonging to this is awesome, and it's free! I'm glad to foot the bill, but I do appreciate any help to keep the lights on. Become a Super Fan!
