    Having a solid scouting department & GM is critically important. Every year it's the same thing. Many of the hyped "can't miss" players, end up performing worse than players drafted later - and many of these high picks end up complete busts who are not even in the NFL a few years later. Even Heisman Trophy winners have ended up busts. Once you get solid scouts and a solid GM, they are worth their weight in gold. They are the architects of Super Bowl winners.

    So much of that also has to do with what team you get drafted to, and how good the talent is around you. Romo will make any OL look good b/c of his manueverability. Warford is still the guy I wish the Bears had gotten in the 2nd and gone after a safer bet, if only b/c of the mess that is Shea. But it worked out all the same so no real loss
