Jets just released Cromartie. Another option at CB not sure what his $$ are at.
hoho, nice one! will be pricey
at least there are many choices for teams with DB needs
Not a big fan of his, but willing to pick up anybody who could upgrade the Bears roster.
Can he fit our scheme? Which BTW I dont know what it is yet.
Nobody knows, thats what puts them all in the potential category
The Jets took a big hit for dead cap space letting him go. His last deal averaged $8 mil year so it's unlikely he'll be any kind of bargain. We aren't hearing any rumors so far about Peanut which may be good news.
Yeah I'd much rather have Peanut back.
I wasn't really aware of it before but he's still an injury issue too. The pectoral muscles is still not healed. That may slow the signing process all over especially when a guy like Cromartie hits the market.
Verner of course is the stud on the market but Cromartie is a good player. The more CB's on the market the cheaper it hopefully becomes for us to sign Tilman or some other mid level veteran.
Pass. Not a fan. Remember him from his early days and wasn't impressed then nor now.
I'd pass on Cro. Freak athlete...one of the highest Vert's I've ever seen, but he's on the decline. The Jets have a ton of cap room, and no replacement for him in house, yet they chose to let him go when he wouldn't restructure. What does that tell you? I'd rather have Verner, or Tillman back.
Cromartie was the best defender in the secondary for the Jets last year, and he still has it. Since we're not a zone team anymore, I'd rather jump in the Revis sweepstakes and feel comfortable about our chances in shootouts.
Revis - Peppers excange would be Da Bomb, of course, they take about 5mil off each
lol I don't think either team wants their bad garbage contracts. And I'm certain neither feel the need to take 5mil off their current deals.
ohh im sure of it too, just daydreaming
