Okay, essentially the question is this: If the Bears could cheat, without getting caught, or injuring other players, and won enough games to have Jay Cutler back at a critical time for the playoff race, would you be in favor of it? I'm not meaning steroids or Adderall, necessarily (I take that back, get Chris Conte on a healthy dose), but some rule bending way.

While it may sound at odds to wanting the Packers and Vikes to be amongst the best teams in the league, we're decimated, this season is likely over, and honestly, I'm tired of it.

False win over a true lose. I would become a packer fan instead if I heard they did this.

If you aren't cheating, you aren't trying to win.

Depends. Lip reading the peckers coaches on the sidelines? Do it. Breaking into their locker room to steal the playbook? No. As far as rule bending, I prefer we found some loopholes to exploit rather than do any cheating. Tman seemed good at that in canada, but I don't know what kind of loopholes they can use to get cutler back.
All the adderal in the world wouldn't help conte. Maybe they could put a conte mask on Staley? That would be an upgrade.

It is only cheating if you get caught

    Ok.... Question for Burris.

Cheating how? Sticky on gloves? "Stealing" snap counts?

Define how you envision cheating and yuk could get vastly different answers

Coming up with inventive new way to try and get a competitive advantage, yes.
    Loopholes, yes

Doing something that if you get caught doing will result in punitive action, but will not cause harm to anything but a pocket book, maybe.

This is such a gray area.

In general my answer is no, don't cheat you know what it looks like.

Maybe I'm a nut, but I don't like cheating. If you can't win by the rules, then a win loses its value to me. That's just me.

I'm with you. To me, it was like watching the Sosa/McGwire homerun chase. Yeah, it was phenomenal to watch it, but did you feel like it was such a big accomplishment when you consider the circumstances? And then Bonds after?

Ernie Banks chasing 500 was way more fun. Of course, I was way younger....

I remember it like yesterday ... They even had a song for it... "Today's the day, the 12th of May, that Ernie hit his 500th Hey Hey!"

Benj, I think a lot of people do. But a lot of people choose not to.

Everyone cheats. There is holding on every play, there is jockeying for position on every play, pushoffs, PI.... every play.

All varying degrees. Everyone tries to get at least a little edge somewhere

OK, I see that you define it differently than I do. I don't figure a foul/penalty is the same as cheating. But, I can see how some would look at it that way. I hate cheating. That's just me though.

Rex Ryan drives me nuts but the little officiating stunt he pulled against NE was brilliant...Almost like the opposite of cheating, yet somehow dirty. At the end of the day I'm under the assumption that everybody in the nfl is cheating, and that's part of the reason I like it, the hyper intensive competition-if said player will go to the lengths of diving head over heals to score a touchdown in front of 60,000 people, risking shattering his neck, all in the name of entertainment and competition who is to deny them from sticking a needle in their ass? Not me.

If you can read your opponents "tells" in signals then it's not cheating. Why cheat-just tank the rest of the season to not end up at .500 and have another nightmare mid 1st round pick in the draft. :p

Yes, i would oppose cheating, regardless of the form. Only thing cheating proves, is that you can't win legit, so any wins you DO get, are worthless.
