So, who gets cut with us claiming Bass? Ozougwu would make sense from a positional standpoint, I guess, but the swap seems very lateral. If it were me, I'd cut Scott or Boggs, but who knows? I would have preferred a DT, but I won't argue with them grabbing the most talented players in the pool regardless of position.

The Bears know Palmer is back here in a heartbeat if needed. And frankly, he's about as good as anyone out there for a 3rd stringer, now that Blanchard is not available. Heck, if we get down to QB #3, we're probably screwed anyway.

I guess Raidas Nation really liked David Bass. He played at over 270 lbs his last two years of college, so it would be nice if he could bulk up a bit and eventually be a gameday DE/UT depth player.

I understand Palmer is available and most likely not going anywhere. My contention is that we need a #2, not possible #3. They picked up Jerrod Johnson for the PS. That guy sounds like an interception machine, fine for the PS but I don't see a future developing him. Pay Palmer (or ?) some money and replace #2 McCown in the near future.

Know nothing personally but Raiders fans (on their WCG equivalent site) said he had a solid preseason and were upset he and Wilson were cut (both '13 draft picks). Sounds like they were expecting him to definitely be re-signed to their PS but Emery scooped him up on waivers instead. I figure Bass was a player Phil had his eye on in the late draft.
