I like the call to go for it on 4th down early in the game. If we score there we set the tone. The distance was not Quarter back sneak close, that might be the only questionable thing in my mind. But Trestman is telling his offense what he expects, AND future opponents are put on notice that he is aggressive.

So by going for it and failing you still have accomplished something.

Had we lost I'm sure I would be singing another tune :)

Jay is listening to Marc Trestman, and I am loving it. I have never seen Jay make better decisions with the ball. It's like "our little Jay is all growed up now" :-)

    Yes, this is Jay :-)

Tru that JABF, Cutler is playing better then he has, slowly. The Bears just need more games w/0 turn overs and 1-2 Td's; that's not asking a lot.

I didn't know until they announced it on the post game show that the Bears are the only team in the NFL to not allow a TD in the 4th qtr, pretty cool stat and I hope that they keep it going.

Not to de-rail the topic off the game ball, but I noticed that the other day and was wondering... I've noticed the rainbow, and other little icons have made an appearance as well.

I figured it out yesterday. If you give $25 to Ski to keep the messageboard going (the Superfan thing - LINK) you get some added benefits. I gave $25 because they run a really good messageboard here, and figured I'd pitch in to help pay the electric bill :)

This is the best MB I've been a member of. Not just Bears board, but any of them. They quickly sweep out trolls. The folks here are pretty knowledgeable about football. And Ski just added this great upgraded software (I really like the new software he got). I just figured what the heck, give $25 to help out.

Glad you asked! By becoming a SuperFan, you have several more buttons besides just the like and dislike options.

You can agree, disagree, find it funny, call it a winner, informative, friendly, useful, optimistic, creative, old... you can even say the post is filled with bad spelling or just flat out call it dumb.

But that comes with a Super Fan subscription

Too clever isn't the word I'd use to describe calling the HB draw with Michael Bush or having three 20+ yard routes on 3rd and 4 in the fourth to pretty much seal the game. We need to start pounding the rock with Bush running downhill between the tackles, and have quicker developing third down plays (the second half was rife with overly complex plays on third).

For example, Benji does a chatroom striptease every Sunday afternoon and Whiz does his lion taming routine following victories.

I'm all for that, but my concern was that the Giants were a dangerous team, aching for a win while the Bears may be taking them a little too lightly. That failure close to the goal line might have given the Giants the spark to put together a win. Manning' pick 6 throw squelched any spark, a throw he may not have made after a field goal. So it turned out for the best, but it was still quite a risk. Trestman is aggressive and he will keep the hammer down with a lead. You won't go to sleep watching his games, but you may grow a few more grey hairs.

I hear that if we "act before midnight tonight" there is a special offer, of the famed "Kitchen Magician" ... it slices, it dices & it really really works!

I'm gonna get one for my wife for our anniversary. She'll be thrilled!

No way, I can do this. If I tried to tell my wife that she wasn't the kitchen magician, I would be toast.

I do that every so often. It's just that it's the "real" season now. I enjoy the MB a lot right now. In the off season, it's sooooo boring.
