You know the drill
Every defensive end not named Cornelius Washington
Bass for the pick six.
Bennett for setting up the game winner
Jeffery came up huge today, everytime I turned around it seemed he was picking up a huge play in a big moment.
AJ made some big time plays. I have to say the unicorn made a huge play, perhaps the play of the game though.
Thought Forte played a great game. That run after the catch on the TD was a thing of beauty and with the weather we needed him to show up today, and he did.
Bass, he helped turn around the momentum after a struggling offense couldn't seal the deal.
I said Bennett. Only because once the game got delayed (and we were down 10-0), I decided I don't care if the Bears look ugly doing it, just win in those conditions. And guess what?
Over 5 hours, Det loss and GB loss, they pull it out in OT. I couldn't be more thrilled. Black Unicorn has been banged up all year, was questionable as of yesterday, and catches that 42 yard 3rd down pass. He can have the ball.
But this was a team win. I heard they were FIRED UP in the locker room after the game. If it takes this type of ugly win against the SB champs to move positively forward, then fine by me. We'll see what happens against the Rams next!
McCown. Great game management under horrible playing conditions. No turnovers and made all the clutch throws. Even healthy, I doubt Cutler would have played such a clean game. Honorable mention to Forte. He played his heart out.
A tip of the hat to those intrepid Bears fans who braved driving wind and rain for 5 hours. Best fans in the world.
Yes they let Ray rice run for over a buck, but keeping them out of the endzone at the end of the game was huge.
Forte, he scored points. He knew he was THE MAN that had to come thru.
I said other. Peppers! That's what I expect from him every week. He played with a passion we haven't seen this year until yesterday. If he plays like that week in, week out we are a different team.
Why do we only have one vote...
Oline did a good job creating space for McCown to throw and some really blocks.
Trestman really good gameplan.
Defense made some really clutch plays when we needed it.
McCown could be a starter in the league if it wasn't because the QB class next draft is pretty good.
yeah. Not sure if a team would pick him as a starter, but I bet he is going to be one of the very top BU for next year. We need to make sure he stays a Bear as long as he is productive.
He's the perfect backup. Being a smart veteran helps, due to the fact the backup QB's pretty much sit on the shelf unless needed. This is a guy who can come in anytime, even mid-game, and deliver a solid performance. He's not talented enough to be a starter, but for a backup, he's the ideal. I've never felt this comfortable with a Bears backup QB. Heck, I rarely have felt comfortable with our STARTERS at quarterback.
Because that is how I set it up :)
I like how the team is hanging together during a really tough season. They never gave up yesterday. That's something I really respect about this team now. They've patched together a makeshift team of backups & anyone still standing from the starters - and Trestman has them playing decent ball. That says a lot about the players. It says a lot about Trestman too.
