Bears sign T Jonathan Scott, sign QB Jerrod Johnson to the practice squad. Waive TE Kyle Adams, terminate PS contract of G Derek Dennis.

How many times can you get cut by a team in 1 year actually week 1/2?

Maybe they were able to re-sign Scott for less money? Maybe a "will work for food" type of thing?

Maybe quarterback, JJ, will have time to unpack his bags this time around.

I figured they would re-sign Scott once the first week was over because now his contract is not guaranteed. So if his knee goes bad during the year, they can cut him and not pay him that vested veteran salary for the whole year dealie.

Yup, that's what everyone is talking about this week... All those veterans without teams have been flying from camp to camp working out trying to get those non-guaranteed contracts.

A good depth move IMHO but I hope he never sees the field.
