LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- With cornerback addressed in Round 1, the Bears can turn their attention on Friday evening to satisfying their other needs on the defensive side of the ball, particularly defensive tackle. Even though the Bears missed out on Pittsburgh's Aaron Donald (No. 13 to St. Louis), there is expected to be ample talent at defensive tackle available in the second and third rounds for general manager Phil Emery to consider. Remember, the Bears do have some depth on the interior of their defensive line with veterans Jeremiah Ratliff, Stephen Paea and Nate Collins all under contract next season.

Who does? It's all a crap shoot mocking drafts. Especially with Emery.

I expect DT and S. Not sure who S will be CB for FS or LB for SS. Just my guess. If Hageman is on the board I would almost make him a lock.

I do not see it but could be wrong. I believe RB will be there first offensive venture and am thinking RD 3 or 4 depending on who is on the board. They could shock us with a TE, which I would like but not banking on it.

Two safeties to watch for in round three are Craig Loston and Dion Baliey. I think both would be a value pick there and could go along way to helping that position

but rarely do crap shoot mocking people use phrases like "I hear" I don't "Hear" anything anyone else doesn't. Ty is trying to pretend like he has some kind of source in connection w/the Bears.

Not really. He said he didn't have much faith in safeties outside of the top tier talent, mentioned drafting a CB AND the last player he worked out before the draft was the first player he picked up. Dude is very up front about his intentions

Yeah I could definitely see a RB in 3 or 4.. Forte isn't the youngest back around and it'd be good to split some carries. Plus if we get someone with home run ability it adds another dimension to our offense and I have faith Trestman would get him involved. Probably be a quadruple reverse with Kyle Long touching the ball at some point but we all know Alshon ends up with it.

If the top RB is on the board, and the run on DT's is over(which is what I think could happen) then I very much see a scenerio where the Bears take the best available player, that being RB.

But, that ain't gonna happen. I see us drafting one of the taller CBs(remember that he also tried that with Hardin?) to be converted into a safety or DT, and possibly a DE before RB

Keep an eye out for Ealy in rd 2. Bears met with him twice, Several reports teams want him to play DT (3 tech), might be a sleeper and could keep full versatility amongst linemen. ( still not sure how much that matters.)

I was thinking about it this morning. If they don't draft any other defensive backs I can see them moving Frey to S.

After all, we have nothing to lose.

6'0'' 190...I guess he could do it...certainly would be fine in coverage one would think.
