Hester's 13th STPOW award is the most by any returner in NFL history, cool to see da bears still breaking records and adding to them.
I predict that if he stays healthy, he will have 3 TD returns this year
I so hope that is true. I'd love to see him take one to the house Sunday night.
Yup......I want him to surpass deion sanders for all time touchdowns......I think he needs 2 more to do it.
He surpassed Deion a long time ago. Hester has 17 career KO and PR TDs. 12PR TDS & 5KO TDS. Deion only returned 6 punts for TDS and 3 KO for TDS.
I like this one. So who is Veruca Salt? Urlacher
No, Akuma is right. The record he is talking about is all around returns.. Deion has 19 and Hester has 18. Hester needs 2 more to tie and then break Deion's record. I think he'll do it this season. If he's solely a return man from now on he could put up 6-10 more before he retires. I think that's a realistic thing for him and would put the record up there, especially with the new kick off rules.
Yea, that's the record I was talking about.
I agree with you tho, it seems Hester is primed to get many more return td's this season running his way right into the record books yet again.
INT returns have nothing to do with Special Teams returns TDS.
I'm still mad that we we're robbed of Hester's best years by dumb and dumber (Lovie and Tice/Martz) trying to make him a #1 WR. But glad to see him get the award.
No, but at the same time they do.
Returns are returns. Deon has 19 total, Hester has 18. That is the record he wants to pass. There are three types of returns. And the return record (punts, KO, INT) is 19.
Every year they would tell us of the awesome "Hester Package" that would be unleashed to destroy opponents. We'd all wait in awe, to see this in action, and all it was, was stone hands & poor route running. Then the next season they'd tell us again.
Well, if Hester was ever smart enough to figure out where to stand or run a route it could have worked
Tice supposedly built the "Hester Package" machine in his garage in the winter of 2010, and Lovie "did the math" to figure the foot/pounds of energy needed to propel Hester in the contraption.
Actually, Hester was smart. He refused to climb into the darned thing. That's why we never saw the "Hester Package" actually used in a game.
