I thought we did better than this, but maybe not.
Kind of hard on the OL, but I agree with the DL. The fact they pressured Stafford belies the fact that it made no difference. The DL needs to apply pressure to the QB to get him to make mistakes. If the pressure applied does not do that, then it is ineffective.
We really need to change that next year.
We need to get a win against the Ravens to block out the memory of getting swept by the Detroit Lions. This one really hurt.
My thought is that I have lived with NFC football for too long. And for as long as I can remember (well, most years anyway) the Lions have been the doormat of the division. It is hard to recalibrate and understand (at least for me) that we are no longer talking about the Lions of old. This Lions team is pretty respectable and the Bears are in serious flux. It's just I can't get past the Lions beating us. I keep thinking they still suck. Not sure if everyone else is having the same issue, but I think that is a pretty big part of why it sucks so bad.
And of course, the game probably being the gateway to the division....
oh.. and the fact that we actually could have beat them with a different call on a FG, or one of two two-point conversion attempts.... (tied them anyway)
Well, you get the idea... yeah, it sucks, but as several people have said. It is done now. All we can do is try to win what we still have control of and the chips are going to fall where they may.
I gave the officials a big fat "F" for letting the lions players get away with too many dirty cheap shots.
I blame Jerry Angelo for the entire mess. I gave Jerry an "F" too :D
I neutered JA by kicking Dabears54 in the jaw. lol
Couldn't agree more.
Pretty much agree with the grades. Cutler didn't play near as bad as some wanted us to believe. The O line gave up a lot more hits on the QB than they normally do. Still in position to win the game. Should have won it but oh well. Moving on lol
