No actually, the ends, and your OLB's I think are some of the important parts of the 3-4. It is a critical part though, one that is not normally a hybird/versatile role. You need a man beast, not to get the QB but to eat linemen.

CornWash could fit into 3-4. He played a lot of both DE and LB at Georgia. The only hesitation is that we need a dominating nose guard like Wolfork to stop the run in that defense.

Call Webb back and put him on the D-Line. If he is so damned athletic at his size, he would be great.

At this point I wouldn't be against letting Washington try. Really can't be any worse than Shea and pep has looked lime his career is in a decline (or downward spiral)

That is actually interesting, except that there is no time for him to learn it.

Desperate times call for desperate measures....and we are desperate on DL right now.

That would be the first guy he hit this season.

yep you know it, BearsinHouston. We already know that he loved seeing Cutler lying in a crumpled heap on the field.

I give up. Just like many posting here have on Shea. Where does green grass grow? The coaches must not know anything.

Busted logic, not player... Any name will do.

If Shea would have been drafted in the third round people on this board would be a lot less bitter. Where is Hardin btw? Dude is a starting part of the rotation, and as I've pointed out before not that far removed statistically from anyone else on the DL. On paper he has kicked Peppers ass.

Let's just follow the common thinking here and release him. I'm sure that will help..

lets not be pessimistic, i know we have reason, d is not looking good esp. with all thie injuries, but we'll see next man up. i was really looking forward to collins, had a feeling he would be even better than melton this year, but thats the way it goes. now well see washington and minter , we got this!

Hard to replace a Melton type player, but I thought that Collins was looking like at least a good sub. Th 4-3 really does rotate around the 3tech, and the 3-4 reqires a BIG Boy in the middle.

Christian Tupou signed to the practice sqaud. I imagine he'll be activated shortly.

    Brad Biggs ‏@BradBiggs 15h
#Bears GM Phil Emery says on Coaches Show team has signed DT Christian Tupou to the practice squad. Could be elevated this week he says.

Free agent DT Justin Bannan worked out for the Bears.
With Nate Collins (ACL) and Henry Melton (ACL) done for the season, the Bears are desperately looking for interior line depth. Bannan, 34, would be at least be a big body that can plug some holes.

i know this guy played well in Carolina with Peppers. Maybe this is what we need?

Other than he spent the preseason with the Bears, here's his combine report...

Maybe his slowness perception was due to his ACL? I don't recall seeing him in preseason. Anybody else have anything on this guy?
