Ever get the feeling that the strength and conditioning coach of the DL is not Marinelli ?

Ive begun to wonder this myself. On a side note i havent heard about any trades but man i have to agree i dont like us mortgaging our future picks on someone at this moment. At this point in time i would like us to possibly talk to and go after the following...

Richard Seymour - If the price is right or better yet if you can talk him into playing with Peppers and the rest on a discount and reward him in bonuses then i think he would be the best option
Tommie Harris - played the 3 point tech, and maybe we can get him back to basics, hes a low risk high reward. Again he could be cheaper then Seymour and have a better bonus incentive
Sione Po'uha - a 3-4 guy, a little on the older side but man can he stuff the middle and help our linebackers roam free a bit

Outside of this Im not sure who else is really out there, I think we need to go back to Jauron's 4-3, we need a couple of huge fat asses in the middle to bum rush the QB and allow the LB's and the secondary to roam like hungry wolves

Exactly. If this team had a legit shot at a deep playoff run then I'd be all for a trade of some sort. Then again I'd be afraid if Emery drafted another McC .

I agree, that if we spent money on Seymour, that it's an incentive contact with bonuses. The guy is 34 years old and out of football. I wouldn't "sell the farm" to bring in a guy who may not be any better than the deadbeats we already have. The reason no NFL team has signed him & the reason he's home sitting on the couch right now, may not be related to money. He may be "done" in the NFL.

MP, I have no idea who they were looking at trading for or 2, but it doesn't matter b/c Biggs stated it was unsuccsesfull, at least to that point.

I wouldn't call a trade, depending on who and what we gave up, mortaging the future necessarily. Again I think this goes back to you don't find quality DT's on the streets, and apparently no team is so deep that they feel the need to give one up.

Several teams including the Lions have tried to sign him but he DOES want too much money. He played at a high level in Oakland last year but they are in "Cap Hell" and couldn't afford to bring him back.

It sounds a bit like our Urlacher situation. Old guy who thinks he's worth more money than any NFL team is willing to pay.

Yeah, Seymour isn't coming to Chicago. Wants too much money for his age. He made $15 million last year, and if he were still in his mid 20's, I'd be on board to get him, but not at this point.
