    The Rams defense is not much better than ours, so our offense shouldn't be too proud of their play this week either.

    If going for it on 4th down makes you a gambler then we don't need someone who gambles this often. There are times to go for it and times to either take the the FG or call some crazy trick play. Too often he makes poor judgement calls. I'm hoping that in time he will learn that there is a time to gamble and a time to take the FG. Going for it shows a lack of faith in your defense and your special teams.

    Agree to disagree. I wanted him to go for it. Besides, he has very good reason to not trust the defense. What have they done this game, or all year for that matter to make you trust them at all?

    Play calling wasn't the issue this week, it was execution or lack of execution in our case.

    trest is a math % guy. but you have to take into account of the team your playing does not just numbers

    Lose by 21 points...check
    Give up over 260 yards rushing....check
    Double digit penalties...check
    People bitching about trestman going for it on 4th down instead of taking a whopping 3 points...discount double check.

    An 80 yard drive out of the half to get them within a score after being down 21-7 instead goes for naught and is met with a FG on the other end. I'd say that is the exact definition of shift in momentum.
