Bears, McCown still hoping to stay together

    Trestman has been keeping in close touch with Josh. They're saying "neither side will have to work through any conflicting viewpoints in a negotiation of a new contract." We'll know pretty soon if he's staying or leaving. My gut feeling is that both sides will find a way to make this work.

    Luol, that isn't a system problem that is going to a bottom of the barrell system. Ya if McCown went to the Jets or the Browns he would definately suck; but what if he went to AZ, or KC or Hou?

    That being said, they'll re sign him, stupid to waste that kind of money on a backup, but then again Cutler cannot stay healthy so you have to, which is why it was stupid to give Cutler that much money; but that's a different story.
