The Chicago Bears on Friday announced captains for the 2013 season, and each of the five players for the seventh consecutive year will wear a special patch on their jerseys as part of an NFL initiative to emphasize that role.

Offensive captains for the Bears include quarterback Jay Cutler and center Roberto Garza, while the defense is represented by linebacker Lance Briggs and defensive end Julius Peppers. Long-snapper Patrick Mannelly represents the club’s special-teams units.

Chicago’s five captains own a combined 55 years of NFL experience and 16 Pro Bowlselections.

The publisher works very hard to make sure the community is running the best software, best designs, and all the other bells and whistles. We have a pretty robust server, and more comes out of my pocket than you would imagine. Care to buy us a beer? We'd really appreciate it! After all, belonging to this is awesome, and it's free!
