I'm actually on the Unga 4 Life bandwagon, provided he does not play a regular season game. Once he does that, he is dead to me and they can cut him as they wish. I'm curious as to how long a player can stay a Bear and not actually play.

He comes out for training camp each year to thrill the crowds at Bourbonnais. Then he's gone, like a vapor in the wind. Blowing in the wind...

Whoopee! The guy sucks and before long they need to find another OT since Britton is all they have backing up Mills and Bushrod and after him it's that new kid Johnson-Webb on the PS. He's practice body and that's all he'll ever be.

I think that's a given. If we released JJ then we still need a PS QB and we need another vet OT since all we have on the roster is Britton. Emery isn't anywhere near being done in those areas.

I bet you Scott is back on the roster once the regular season starts. I think they are pinching pennies so if his knee is really bad, they can let him go and not pay him the entirety of his contract.

We are really getting our money's worth out of cliff Stein. He is signing and moving like a champ.

There is nothing wrong with Scott's knee, and yes, he will be back on the roster for the regular season - and be our starter!

This is all a clever plan that began during the Lovie Smith & Mike Tice era. But Trestman is taking it to another level. Now that the Bears have established that Scott "really" has a bum knee, he can be the guy who fakes the injury when the offense is gassed and needs to rest up a few moments before the next play is run. Goodell will never question it as cheating, since Scott has proven to have the bum knee.

DJ Williams is going to be the "fall guy" on defense. Same thing. When the boys need a breather, he'll grab that ole calf and go down like a sack of flour. Not even Goodell will question it, and the Bears will just trot Bostic out to take DJ's place. It's a chess-move on Trestman's part, because he will want Bostic in there anyway. It's a diabolical plan.

Here's a pic of Lovie and Tice running the boys through the original drill with Urlacher....

It's a great picture of the blind leading the blind. If anyone can understand Cutlers frustration this picture brings it into focus. By the way where are these 2 in the NFL today? The same place we all are posting on MB and watching the game from the couch. (Thank God) If they do ever come back to coaching they should be required to coach in NFC it's only fair for us Bear fans.

This one photo seems to encapsulate the entire Lovie Smith era for me. I've laugh every single time I look at them in this pic, because they look like clueless visitors on an alien planet - trying to figure out just what they're watching.

I wish them both the best in life. I really do.

Do those ugly glasses actually help him see? I seriously doubt it.

No, Mike, more to your right, a little more, that's it. That's our o-line. Their guys are to your left. What's your playcall? Hurry up now, Cutty's waiting....

LOL. JJ's Chicago Bears career lasted a matter of 72 hours or so. He probably didn't even get to unpack his suitcase (maybe he should have just stayed at O'Hare waiting for a flight back home). At least the mighty Unga is still on the PS :-)

A ready-to-go HB is probably the most valuable attainable player for a PS. Unga is just that. Great size, runs hard, quick feet and good mitts. He's not a golden god, and there's been some hardships with a couple personal leaves. However, by all accounts he's a completely stand up guy, and I haven't seen anything from him on the field that makes me doubt his ability to play in this league. I can't say the same for anyone else on this practice squad - not even close.
