Mannelly said he wants to come back, but wants to fully rehab his hip (late May, June) before he makes a final decision. I forgot he had hip surgery. That sucks at his age..

Mannelly is the oldest guy on the team ... wish we could get another like him.

The Bears on Monday agreed to a three-year contract with long-snapper Chad Rempel, who spent the past 10 seasons in the Canadian Football League.
The Bears on Monday agreed to terms with long-snapper Chad Rempel on a three-year contract.

The 6-2, 214-pounder spent the last 10 seasons in the Canadian Football League, appearing in games for Winnipeg, Toronto and Hamilton while also seeing time with Edmonton and Montreal. He played seven seasons with Toronto from 2006-07 and 2009-2013.

Rempel, a 31-year-old native of Alberta, Canada, who attended the University of Saskatchewan, was a long-snapper and wide receiver in the CFL, compiling 70 special-teams tackles, two fumble recoveries along with 22 receptions for 283 yards and two touchdowns.

Kinda small for the NFL isn't he?

And the roster just keeps on evolving. We won't need a draft at this rate.

Would never have had this much roster activity with JA.

Looks 2 be a 3 year contract. I could be wrong, just ask my wife, but it seems the writing is on the wall for Mannely. He's getting long in the tooth but IMHO he has been the best LS in the league during his time in the league. I honestly can't remember a bad snap from him costing us points ever.

It's a 3 year non-guaranteed contract because 3 years is the minimum term allowed on NFL rookie contracts. Since it's non-guaranteed, the number of years is meaningless.
