I like this signing as well. Will be surprised if Pep is back, maybe putting him out there for trade opened his eyes and having Houston will motivate him to lower his pay. If not Ware would look like a nice pick up and Wootton still in play.

Yeah, I doubt pep is back but the real issue isn't whos opposite of Houston, its who will play the 3. If we can get a quality 3 tech to be a presence inside, then this unit should run about 100 times better than last year.

Stop the run, Rush the passer and the rest will fall into place.

Oakland has to be the stupidest franchise in the NFL. How do you let your two best young players (LT Valdeer and DE Houston) get away in FA when you have $60m in cap space to use??????

Then re-sign McFadden who blows and can't stay on the field more than 8 games a year????

    Brilliant!

Always a good thing when you can get ahead at the expense of a division foe

I actually kinda understand the LT thing since he was injured this year, plus they drafted a guy last year in Watson from FSU who many people were high on. The D End thing makes no sense to me.

PFT quoted him as saying that he wants to play with a "Butkus" attitude.
    Gotta love that !

Wow!! Why would Raiders let this guy go? Is it me, but isn't this a better deal than Bennett because compare the 2 D's each guy got to play with and I like the look of this guy better overall.

This is a better deal than we offered Bennett and I think we got a better run defender. You could really flip a coin as to who you think is the better player and Houston is younger.

I like that signing. Fills a need, not overpaid and you have one thing less to worry about. Lets see who else ends up with us
