LOL, call him Mel "MF" Tucker?
I missed that one! And I am the master of the acronym. I am ashamed...
But I like it! Some things just fit. :voodoo:
Welcome back BIH (or at least haven't seen you in awhile on here).
There, there :alright: can't win 'em all. :lol-027:
I'm a bit surprised at this because when Lovie and Co was here, we were known for having a strong QB corp and a tough as nails O-line....
Led by immortal warriors like Frank Omiyale, J'Marcus Webb, Gabe Carimi & Chris Williams. They struck fear into the hearts of men (especially Jay Cutler). :D
I did not say anything when I posted Allan contract but this tweet sums it up pretty well. Allan definitely wanted to play for the Bears or would not have been so willing to do a cap friendly deal.
That is the first thing that struck me also. Along with the fact that I probably would have gone with Seattle if I were him. If it really is about the ring, there is a very good chance they will be right there again next year. The Bears are in a great position for the postseason but while my heart agrees, my brain keeps thinking about the games I saw with Seattle and SF, and we just can't compete. I honestly don't know how much closer we will be this year and I am anxious as hell to find out.
Of course, I am thrilled he is here instead.
What a guy a double win win^ some these guys in NFL don't really know how great of a life they have playing in the NFL. Some like Jared really get it boy that's great to see.
Is this what we call sarcasm? :D
I always respected how he played the game with 100% heart and effort. Those are the kind of players you want on your team. Talent is great, but talent with 100% heart and effort is better. We have some solid people who should be great leaders in the locker room as well as on the field.
Bob is trying to lighten us up a bit here. We've gotten WAY to serious lately, myself included. :-)
This is a good signing. Yes, he is past his prime, but he's still a good pass rusher and can both motivate and tutor younger players. This is a positive step.
I think Halas Hall underestimated what the loss in terms of leadership occurred when BU was shown the door last year. Hopefully, this will help recover some of that.
:lol3: Rex Grossman is our QB and JWebb is our LT and we'll go from there.
You forgot it takes years for offensive line to jell but don't tell Phil or Marc they never got the memo.
Especially when they had studs like Craig Krenzel and Chad Hutchinson playing behind that stout O-line.
You had to read the whole thing. The nails thing was in reference to playing like a deflated tire.
