Holy shit! No one saw that coming. Respect to Emery for keeping everything in the dark.

Welcome to Chicago, Jared. This will be your last stop before retirement.

    Go Bears!!!

EXCELLENT NEWS!!! Literally didn't believe what I was reading when I got that app notification. This just vastly improved our defense.

Well now I do think that Houston is the starting DT w/Young and Allen as the starting DE's.

Big question for everyone out there.

With Allen and Young coming in at DE do we now use Lamarr Houston as the 3t or do we start him at DE and have the flexibility to move him inside.

Either way I'm happy we've spent the cap and put it on the line to get a decent defense to go with our offense even though I'm a bit nervous about the rebuild this defense needs. Going to need some great drafting in the secondary and young LB's to step up as the new pieces on the D-Line are not cheap toys.

I wondered the same thing, We have 4 possible DEs other than Allen in Izzy, Bass, Corn, Young. I don't think they will start with Houston inside but if we aren't getting it done at DT then he eventually may. Bass and Corn are likely fighting for a roster spot now.

I heard a few rumors on reddit, but nothing substantial. Dude sucks at run stopping, but still gets to the QB with ease. Now all we need are a safety, DT and CB

Good old Phil Emery always has a plan! I really like this move unless we overpaid. Gives us pass-rusher, run stopper and a Young rotational guy. If Emery draft us A. Donald I believe he has managed to fix the Dline as well..
