I've read on a few places that Tillman to Tampa is done, as soon as Revis is unloaded. Hope not, but that would really suck.

No, read it on another forum: XM Radio(NFL Channel) and this guy was being interviewed saying Tillman to Tampa is basically done.
    Could see that happening

Well if it happens it happens. Obviously we would know that Tillman would rather play for Lovie than finish out his career a Bear.

It will be interesting to see who all ends up in Tampa. Lovie putting the band back together, but all the instruments are older, beat up and going out of tune. Those of us that were critical of Lovie are openly grinning if these reports have any merit.

I would love Peanut to stay and I think he has at least one more year left, but I wouldn't bet much on anything longer than that.

Or, more likely, Tampa is throwing around silly money that is way more than anyone else would give, and he has no problem losing for a few years just to get an extra several million dollars.

Maybe this is for the better, although I'll sure miss Peanut. If we're going to gut the defense and rebuild with youth, then let's get it over with - take our initial lumps - and go on. In the long run it may be for the best.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if most Bears landed in Tampa

Starting to sound like that ... McCown to vist and they have interest in Hester. But apparently Hester's asking price is too high.

It seems like Tampa may be going for older players while Emery is trying to build more with younger players. Emery's model is better for sustained success.

Maybe he's trying to get a few players who can put his stamp on the team locker room, and show the younger players how to be successful. Lovie was clueless on offense, but on defense he had some decent success. If he can get a year or two out of guys like Peanut, it may help him mold that defense into what he wants down there. I'll be honest. I'm not sure what Mel Tucker is wanting to do here. I'm not dissing the guy. But I'm sure curious what he can do for us. As I've said many times, I'm just watching and waiting to see what the guy can do for us. I'm hopeful.

Regarding Lovie, I've criticized the guy, but I do hand it to him that he can build decent defenses. Maybe these older guys can help him begin the process of building a top-5 defense down there.

Yeah, only time will tell. I do wish Lovie and those older Bears players all the luck in the world. If Lovie could ever get a decent OC he'd be a good head coach. In fact, if Mel Tucker can't get it done here in Chicago I expect Tampa to be turned around quicker than the Bears. I guess it all hinges on which team can figure out their weaker side - us on defense and Lovie on offense. The one that fixes their weakness first, will be the franchise to have the best success first. Let's see what Mel can do here.

I hope they sign a few of Da Bears elder UFAs. Would make for a great MNF showdown on the lakeshore when Lovie & Bucs come to Chicago next year... ESPN loves that kind of hype! Of course they would spin it and talk about the NYG & Cowboys all game some how.

Not so fast on Peanut to Tampa. This may improve our chances

Tillman signing outside of Chitown wouldn't happen fast.

I think he's more apt to lobby Chicago for money. After all, if we're keeping Tucker, and some of the other plays why not Tillman?

I just don't think Tillman is running from Chicago. So I think any quick announcement isn't likely. But I don't get paid to think. :D
