Yes, 2nd round to mentor behind Charles?
Very true, a 3rd round CB could always be a possibility if the right guy is there. If not, then next year a first round CB is in the possibilities or some other FA. Too far to tell, but for the short term that need can be taken off the "code red position" list.
If there is a top, cant miss CB at 14, still gotta grab him
I'm hoping Peanut can break the interception record now that he's back in the fold of the bear family, he only needs 3 or 4 to become the all time leader surpassing Gary Fencik.
I'm just going on what seems likely and logical, not saying we should pass up Deion Sanders 2.0 just because Peanut is back for a final year. Emery is on record as saying that "the draft is deep at DB". I doubt Melton is coming back since we gotta be pretty much capped out at this point so DT makes sense.
One every four games? If he stays healthy its possible
Isn't he close to the record for forced fumbles too?
As of right now Tillman is the only person listed as record holder with 42 forced fumbles in a career, no other player is listed with less.
Note: Forced fumbles are not an official NFL statistic and even unofficial numbers prior to 1991 are not available .
Good signing. Still doesn't remove the need for a CB in the draft, but it was never going to be a 1st round one anyways). If they can get a DT and a S the team can honestly go BPA throughout the draft and be happy w/what they get.
So does this mean that next year we will need a DB and LB because Peanut and Briggs going to retire together? poor Urlacher, if only he took his head outta his ass, and swallowed his pride he could have done the same. Effing great news non the less
Welcome back, Peanut!! :-)
So glad he decided to stay.
great news, great day to be a Bears fan.
I can't tell you how happy I am... Peanut is home so I'll use these do-a-ma-jigs.
I would LOVE to see him as a DB coach when he retires!
Anyone seen the numbers on this?
1 year deal worth $6M with an additional $6M in incentives
Just kidding, I have no clue. Numbers are not out yet!
Actually it is 1 year, $3.5M
hopefully the lack of interest in melton allows him a trip back home
it would be nice to see what the dl could do with rat collins and melton
