We have been able to attract really good defensive talent, and if we want to be able to continue to do that, we need to field an imposing defensive team. If talented players start to think they they come here and their efforts fade into nothing because of whatever, then that won't continue.

The first team will be playing longer during this third game. I'd like to see our O get back to closer to what it was last year and I'd like to see a better D out there. Miscommunications and apparent lack of people being on the same page and a general lack of the D playing together was one of the things I blamed on Tucker last year. I had not thought about it, but I guess with the upgrading of position coaches there is no reason to have gone away as that is mostly a DC issue. I guess I was just hoping I was wrong about him and that Pas and Herring would be able to cover up any remaining shortcomings.

I'm starting to get that uncomfortable feeling again that we wasted a year by keeping him. We'll know in about 4 more games.

I don't think we'll have to worry about his attitude problems cause Trestman just showed with Bennett what happens if you misbehave and BMarsh and Jefferey can help keep his head right.

It's because he plays so well that there must be two of him. Consider it a compliment! LOL

I agree with this and he was a better WR in Pitt when he wasn't the #1 then he was with the Jets when they tried to make him the #1 so hopefully him being a #3 will be the perfect fit for him and if he can still do PR/KR that's a bonus.

I know a lot of folks don't like Mike and Mike but I actually do. Greeny is a huge Jets fan and has Chicago ties. I agree with his tweet...

I was not a fan of Santonio Holmes with the #Jets. But the #Bears needs are totally different. What they need, he's got. Good pickup.

If Holmes can turn around his life/career around like Marshall we are fucking stacked at WR then.

Chris Williams, Michael Ford and Senorise Perry. And none of them has huge character issues, unlike Holmes.

Do we know if Williams hammy isn't going to be an issue that lingers? Need more than one guy.

Ford hasn't instilled much confidence that he can consistently do the job, we need to see more of him in game.

Perry is intriguing after the other night v. Jax. It would be nice to see him back there.

The problem is we don't have a proven guy and Decamillis is wasting too much time on Weems.

I like the signing a lot...he'll be perfect in the slot. He's not a number 1 guy...which is what the Jets tried to make him(much like us with Hester).
