ya know what, I take it back, I think we have our starting DE's. The more I hear about this guy the more I think he's our starter. Depth my ass, this guy is a potential starter for the team.

If they sign Tillman and get another DT then the Bears are shining a giant red beacon on Dix and Pryor in the draft.

#Bears RT @PFF: Willie Young has sacked QB just 8 times in career, but 60 total pressures last year was just 4 fewer than CAR's Ch Johnson

With that kind of money he's definitely our starter. Why would you pay that much for backup DE?

1000 ESPN radio just said PFF compared Houston/Willie to our DE's last year. Houston graded out at 11 and Young at 7. None of the Chicago DE's had a positive grade, the closest was Peppers at neg 4

Young will be a starter for us. As an aside...our overall tackling skill on the line just got a lot better.

This ^^^^ I can see. I'm very glad Emery got another DE given how weak the draft class is there up top. Feel bad for Wootton but tough to get a long term contract or be in a teams plans when you can't stay healthy. This is pretty much a no-confidence vote in him returning on anything beyond a camp invite/"prove it" situation. He's been hurt during/after 3 of his 4 seasons. I feel a lot better about Houston-Young-Bass with maybe a draft pick/Woot/Corny battling it out in camp for a spot.

Getting Tillman back now would be a score.

b/c he's about 30 PFF points BETTER then She there are DE's that are in the 250 range that are actually good, She wasn't b/c She wasnt strong enough to hold up.

Because this guy can actually play DE. Shea spent most of his time at DE on his ass getting run over.

Stop getting caught up in size. This guy has proven he can rush the passer and play the run from the end position and Shea didn't...which is why you move Shea...not because one is bigger than the other.

I could see Houston and Shea lining up on the same side and making the O have to figure which one is to block though.
