I've calmed down a bit from the Detroit game. Now I'm looking forward to seeing what Trestman can do with the team after a loss. This game is an opportunity to prove Trestman can get the team quickly back on track. It would be a really nice win.

Matchups in the NFL are funny. As good as the Saints are, I believe we match up better against them than we do against Detroit.

I have zero optimism for this game after watching Brees rip the Dolphins to shred last night.

In predict the saints embarrass us at home.

Cutler gets another horrible performance whitewashed by the Tebow-like fans we have.

And the defense is demonized once again, while Cutler looks like a fish out of water.

I go with JABF99's view that Cutler displays another 'deer in headlights' performance.

I think we will have something like this:
    BEARS: 37
    SAINTS: 31

Being in front of a home crowd at Soldier Field will be so much better than the deafening dome atmosphere at Detroit, and Suh & Fairley had Cutler spooked before the first snap of the game IMHO. Yes, N.O. is a good DL too, but they're not Fairley & Suh scary - where Jay has to fear more than a sack, but body dismemberment too :-)

Cutler will relax a bit more in the game. Instead of 4 turnovers, he'll be solid. Maybe the "D" will slow down N.O. enough......just enough, for Chicago to pull out the win.

We need a win bad. IN FACT, I'll say, if the Bears can't beat the Saints Sun, then we are on our way to a 6-10 season. That's how important this game is right now. Because the schedule doesn't get any easier at this point.

I think it's great to have this opportunity to get the Detroit experience behind us. If the Bears can pull this off, then it will show Trestman is good at picking the pieces up after a loss, and making adjustments to win against a stellar team. Man, after the hell-hole experience at Ford Field, it should feel mighty good to be home, outdoors, at Soldier Field - and not a Suh or Fairly within several hundred miles :-)

The saints are a tough team, and I have it as a loss. Had it one before the season, have it one now.

    10-6 is still very likely

Brees is going to absolutely rip our defense. I have been racking my brain to see a way to win.

    1. Bears make 0-1 turnovers. Saints make 3-4.
    2. Forte/Bush rush 26-30 times for 150-200 yds.
    3. Super ball control passing game. Dink-n-dunk. Long drives. Eat up the clock. Keep ball away from Brees.

Anyway, that's my fantasy game plan, but it is not what I am expecting.

I predict a scoreboard malfunction with the saints winning this game.

What I really hope does not happen is that if we lose to the Saints, people will start to justify the "we are completely broken" syndrome. The Saints are tough. I would LOVE to win this game, but if we play hard and lose, I really don't think we are any worse than we are now. I consider the Saints to be better than the Lions, so that would not surprise me too much.

Not to say that it is hopeless. We can score. We have proven that. What we have not proven is the ability to stop a good QB. He is the best we have faced this year and we are getting no pressure.
