These guys do the local fairs, etc... in the area and the sweet kettle corn they make on-site is beyond belief.
The popcorn between my teeth or the the ones hidden behind my couch.
Garretts is the best to me, but a quick snack of Jays O-KE DOKE cheese flavored is pretty good.
My friends dad used to sit in the driveway in a lawn chair every friday nite and celebrate the end of his work week with several barley pops and popcorn . We showed up and started talking to him . While he was talking to us he kept grabbing popcorn and thought he was dropping it into his mouth but kept missing (cuz he was so buzzed) and they were all landing on his shirt and falling down into the chair - yet he kept chewing cuz he thought it was in there . The laughing from us started out gradually , but after several oblivious misses , it turned into outright hysterical laughter from us . Then he's like " wut " and we pointed to his shirt which had about 25 popcorn sitting on it . " Wooow I must really be drunk " he said then he laughed with us .
So guess what I'm saying is popcorn WITH beer is a good way to go , Always makes for a happy nite .
I got a couple good recipes.
1) Into a deep big pot add 3/4tps pressed coconut oil(the kind that smells like coconut), and as it melts add some salt then add the 1cup of kernals once the oil is hot. Put a top on that allows for steam to be released and shake constantly. I personally don't even need butter for this.
2) again 3/4's tsp, but split between oil(your choise) and bacon greese, then follow the above directions. That is all sorts of tasty, nice smokey flavor.
Dry a cob and seal it in a paper bag and throw it into the micro.
