    NFL.com senior analyst Gil Brandt thinks that Bears safety Brock Vereen could be one of the rookies drafted in the fourth round or later who could emerge as an impact player.

    Seems Brandt isn't the only one to feel this way. I think it was Todd McShay who felt he was the best pick in the NFCN as far as value goes and his ability to make an immediate contribution to the team.

    Since the Safety position seemed to have players bunched into two top group, Clinton-Dix and Pryor in round one and then Ward and Bucannon in round two, and then it was said the quality fell off quite a but after that it should be interesting to see what Vereen can do. We may well have gotten a guy who should have gone higher but fell because he was moved around so much in college.

    Personally I though moving up to him was a smart thing to do. I like his chances to get on the field this year.
