Urlacher didn't do himself any favors while spouting off about the fans, his spats with teammates (Cutler, Benson, Kreutz) and he isn't now bashing the Bears on national TV. If he had any sense left, or could just set aside his ego just a little he would realize that the Bears were the ONLY team to offer him a contract. If that isn't "showing loyalty" then I'm not sure what is. "Loyalty" isn't hurting the team in order to feed your ego with a huge contract. The Bears have a ton of retired numbers as it is and can't afford too many more. If he wants any chance of that happening and having one more day be all about him in Soldier's Field, then he should prolly stop giving the Bears a reason to just give 54 to someone else. Get over it, you had a great career, and it ended. Let it be.
