Briggs is out 4-6 weeks w/a shoulder inj.
Castanzo/Greene is now a starter.
Bad news for sure. But thanks for posting it Ric.
I wonder who will set the defense in Briggs absence, anyone know?
Just saw it via CBS and "TheScore" mobile app.
Shoulder injury nothing specific yet.
Looks like K. Greene is playing next to Bostic and gets to show what he can do.
when it rains its pours......
merge the one I started also. This is a real problem.
It will go back to Bostic, which is a problem since he's confused as it is when it comes to run vs pass.

Chicago Bears linebacker Lance Briggs will miss four to six weeks with a shoulder injury, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Briggs, who suffered the injury in Sunday's loss to the Washington Redskins, will not need surgery and will return this season, the source told Schefter.
Briggs, 32, has a team-leading 64 tackles and two sacks through seven games this season.
A seven-time Pro Bowler, Briggs recorded at least 100 tackles in eight of his first 10 seasons in the NFL.
okay can we merge the 3 current briggs out threads
Reported by Biggs and PFT. Shoulder injury.
Looks like K. Greene gets his shot.
Anyone else want to start this same exact thread? Merged 5 already....
oh s.o.b.! this s xtremly bad, well this years rookies are really in luck
Well, this year's rookies should be well experienced and ready to go next year. And we should have a good idea on who to keep and who to let walk by then.
What would be crazy is the defense getting better without Briggs, and the passing game working more efficiently against the Packers this next game. No one would know what to make of that
Maybe it's time to be looking at get getting as close as we can to the top of draft for next year. Clowney starting to sound pretty good at this point. Oops keep forgetting just have to improve 1st quarter O.

That's called fantasy land but again that's where most Chicago fans spend most of their time thinking about their teams.
Our D is going to be scary bad now. Geesh. What started out as a promising season is turning into another disappointing year.
Well Greene was drafted to be Briggs' replacement in 2015, and seeing as how our Defense is already banged up and playing poorly, it might actually be a good thing to give him some starting time this year, just like it is for Bostic.
you arent used to dissapointing seasons?
lets look at the big picture here sure there will be some big eyesores to deal with but at same time some of our younger players have a chance at playing to help their development
ooops keeps forgetting to talk about how to solve the problem...maybe b/c he's too busy crying about all the people looking for the solution.
