I think they already gave up 75 yards. Even though games dont start for another two and a half hours.

    Impressive.

That bye week is a tough SOB

I think Conte is still running backwards looking for the ball. Oh, how the mighty have fallen I guess all good things must come to an end.

Maybe we can bring back Webb and Carimi to increase our sack total.

But Hot Rod and that amazing Dallas D that get's so many sacks gave up 488 in passing yards and another 143 in rushing to Det, over 300 yards to CJ and another 120 yards to Bush. They did get 3 turn overs, actually won the TO battle 4 to 0, and still lost by a point b/c much like w/Lovie and Co, don't get a TO, don't get a stop.

Anyone still missing Hot Rod and his great D play? Think Hot Rod really has this beat up old D playing top 10-15 when his Def down in big D is ranked 29th...that's right worse then Chicago's.

Btw, I believe I saw Cont get beat by a elderly woman using a walker as they were heading out of church.

I would like to thank the Dallas Defense for allowing Megatron 329 yards which gave me 36 in one of my FF leagues.

Jay Cutler and Matt Forte were playing "catch", but forgetting a runninback can catch, Jay kept looking for Marshall

On a related note to our defense: The Jets defense started the game with a turnover, and a 4th and goal stop, yet their offense couldn't do crap, and it quickly snowballed into them getting beaten every which way. While the Bears obviously have a superior offense, early in the season, the defense was ACTUALLY doing fairly well, but like the Jets offense today, couldn't keep the defense off the field very long, and they quickly tired. Not that it matters now, but we had a respectable defense early on, but having an offense that sputters for the first three quarters, leaving them to stay on the field longer than usual, along with associated injuries has taken it's toll. Basically, when/if they fix the defense next year, we need the offense to start working hand in hand with them. Multiple turnovers created by the defense have gone for nothing.

Do we have any "key players" left on D? I think not.

The D is a complete dumpster fire. Total hot garbage. We all expected some slippage but none of us to my knowledge predicted a a complete meltdown like we have seen. We all agree there have been serious injuries, key draft pick misses (Shea, Hardin), and age problems (Peppers not even earning 10% of his salary).

EVERYTHING needs to overhauled. Everything. Yes, that includes our shitbag DC castoff from the dregs of all NFL franchises. It may not seem fair, and heck maybe it even is totally unfair, but he needs to go down with the ship like captains do. I would have fired Tucker during the bye and named an interim (season is over anyway) but at the very least he needs to be canned January 2nd.

I watch Green Bay play at a high level and win with their starting LT, 3 top receivers, and best D player all out for extended periods. And they make it work with low draft picks and college UDFAs somehow. Why are our equivalents so inept by comparison?

Emery has a lot of work to do and I don't want to hear excuses that "we just had bad luck injury-wise". The D sucked--I REPEAT AGAIN--sucked bad before the injury parade reached critical mass. I'd keep Wooton, Anderson, and Tillman alone among defensive FAs and burn the rest (including Pep of course). Start with finding a real DC and then move on to the player roster in FA and the draft. No mere tinkering around the edges. A complete rebuild from the ground up.

That's because...it is pretty simple. There's little left on this defense to defend. And not much worth keeping either.
