Clearly the Bears and Marc Trestman are sky-high excited about David Fales. He is a perfect fit as the long-term backup here.

Yep, and this is exatly how SB winning teams get their backup when they have an experienced franchise QB starting for them. They get a young low kid w/a ton of potential that fits what the coach wants; in this case a WCO style qb which is what fales is.

Sounds like they don't think he can Fale.

The Bears had the number two scoring offense in the NFL last season, the second worst defense. No one outside of the organization is 100% sure of what's going on with 2/3 of our linebacking corps. We have very strong argument for having the best wide receiver tandem in the NFL, and we're grooming QBs for the future. Where am I, and what happened to Earth?

Sounds a little turned inside out doesn't it? So I'm thinking this is what the world looks like from the other side of the looking glass. :36 11 11[1]:

I could see it. I think it's a semi long shot but it could happen. Maybe improved mechanics and NFL strength training will help his arm strength. He may never have a gun but may develop into a guy who truly can make all the throws. If thats the case then I like his chances for now.

Does anybody realize Palmer has only thrown 15 more passes in the NFL than Fales.

Yeah but didn't all 15 go for TDs? I mean wow. That's hard to do. :5v[1]: :haha:
