I'm sure he showed some promise with the Bears too or they wouldn't have kept him around.......hmmmm, or given the basic talent of our QBs maybe they would have. I think we were still in the Ditka's "QBs aren't that important mode". Sure Coach, not when yoi have a defense that can eat the opposing QB for lunch. But when you don't they do become more important.

As I recall Henry has a pretty good arm but once he got in a game he could be more shell shocked than Rex. Great in practice without pressure but useless when it was there.

It wasn't really until his seventh season (CFL, NFL combined) that he became a legitimate passer. Most of prior success had been via his legs rather than his arm. So the Bears fans never got to see what he could when he finally figured it out.

He was pretty damn close to the worst Bears QB I've ever seen too. :4_2_211[1]:

This guy reminds me a of Hines Ward but much faster. I want to see him returning kicks and maybe the occasional touch on offense as well.

I'm only slamming the real Henry not his DaBears namesake. I just recalled a game against Tampa Bay he started about 10 years ago and it was the absolute worst performance by a Bears QB I have ever seen. Even worse than that turd Rex laid against GB in the New Years Eve game.

    There was a Henry Burris,
How strong his right arm is,
Many of us wished we were rid.
    For when he was good,
    He was very good indeed,
But when he was bad he was horrid.

(With apologies to another 'Hank', Henry Wadsworth Longfellow)

Just saw a video Brandon Marhsall posted on instagram of Chris Williams throwing down a two handed wind mill dunk off a bounce pass to himself. The guy is a freaky athlete.

Remember him clearly in his draft. I like him and I like his new tape. He's got slot/return written all over him if he can pick up routes and catch the ball.

With that bunch of "aircraft carriers" at 5'8" how do they even knows he's there. I can see him tappin' Brandon Marshall on his knee and asking him a question. :rofl2:

I'm sorry couldn't resist. Yeah, it is a good thing. He could be that deep threat we've been missing.

BTW, Trestman was the opposing coach when Williams did his hotdog show and got his butt planted at the one. I would've loved to have been a fly on the wall during their first meeting when he joined the Bears.
