Cliff Stein continues his track record with the quick signing of Bear draft choices. He has already signed six since the draft. What an asset to the bears organization. Thank you, Cliff Stein.

I agree completely. Not only does he get the picks signed quickly, but he always manages to keep us out of cap trouble while giving us enough money in FA to play a little bit. We may never have a Kings ransom to spend in FA, but if we ever did, that would be an indication that we didn't do all we could previously. The Bears no longer "throw nickles around like manhole covers", and they haven't for many years. Stein makes sure to give our Management the funds to do what they need to do without getting us in trouble. In my opinion he is the MVP of our front office staff.

He's done a great job managing the cap and coming up with creative ways to bring in the talent Emery wants. Two really good examples are Cutler's deal and the out that's built into it as well as the Bears ability to create bonus dollars out of his salary to open up cap space and finding a way to sign Allen which cost us very little in cap this year.

We're usually one of the first teams to get their draftees signed because we leave cap space to do it with plus there really isn't much negotiation around these deals any longer. Everything is slotted based on where you were picked. No more holdouts.

Good looking kid! Keep up the indoctrination!

PS, is that a recent picture, or are you finally getting some sleep now?
I still remember those days; cuteness factor through the roof...Good, but insane lack of sleep...bad.

One of the happiest days of my life was when my youngest child was no longer needing diapers. I felt like I changed a billion dirty ones before that day.

Good lookin' little guy and you're right to get him indoctrinated early. I messed up with my older daughters and now they're "Cheesy" fans. You can imagine how that works out two weekends a year. :unfinished: :peepack:

Well they still live in GB so there's not much I can do. I'm probably one of the few who lived there they couldn't make a Packer fan out of no matter how hard they tried. Lambeau is a great place to watch a game though.

Soulman, I lived in Green Bay in Allouez by the Abbey. I went to many games at Lambeau, and still remain a big, big Bear fan. Won a lot of bet in the 80's when the Packers really sucked.

Well, well another escapee from Cheesetown, LOL. I was across the river in Ashwaubenon most of the time but I did live in Allouez for a year or so before I moved away. I actually love the people and the area but the weather just sucks. That and I don't like their football team. :bah:
