Might see more of the half back option if Lynch makes it as a RB. Will freeze the defense and if they leave the receiver he can toss it down the field. ttttttttttttt

I'd add Houston to that mix as well. I think he is going to be nasty on that line. Joel Long stated he doesn't know anyone in the league that works harder than Houston. Pretty high compliment coming from a pretty respected player in the league. I think he's going to have a breakout season.

Yeah I'm a big Houston fan. I remember watching a game and the announcer said something along the lines of he shouldn't be discounted just because he's playing for the Raiders, the guy can ball. I'm excited to see him work with this great group of guys. I think this is the best DL any of them have been on, it's going to be so hard to decide who you're going to shift the line towards and put extra men on. Every single one of these guys can take advantage of single match ups and make life hell for the QB as well as high grades in stuffin the run. Who you gonna block? Good luck.

First you have to get excess of talent leaving in free agency then you can get comp picks.

It's actually a system where you have to draft well first to then get them. Getting some extra OL talent in and some young talent in other positions are the kind of moves needed to let some guys go at the end of the contract. Then when that happens we fill their spots with youth or with guys who were cut from their team.

But you can't play the compensation game until you've got the healthy roster in the first place.

With the addition of Ratliff last year and counting on him and Paea being 100% healthy, those guys along with Sutton and Collins should make a big difference in the middle of that line this year. Ferguson may struggle a little or he may shock everyone if they can turn his motor on high. We have 5 inside linemen now plus Izzy if he sticks along with Allen, Houston and Young to rotate at DE.

We were short on linemen last year and this year it looks like some good players may not make the final roster cut even if we keep ten of them.

It's so damn impressive. Emery attacks our weaknesses every step of the way through the off-season. For only being here around 3 years he's completely re-hauled both lines as well as our receiving corps. This guy takes no prisoners when it comes to making weaknesses into a strength. When you step back and look at what he's accomplished.. it's really something.

Im too lazy to look this up : 5th ranked offense in 2013.

What offense were we ranked in 2012?

I do know this because its permanent scar tissue : 31 ranked defense in 2013.

The WORST EVER ranked BEARS defense ... ever.

Your children ... got to be insulted by that sight.

Thats why they wake up screaming in the middle of the night.

And you think the misery of your children can be bought off with Zoloft ?

No my friends ... your CHICAGO BEARS need a DEFENSE ...so that you can sleep at night.

Your children can sleep also ... without drugs.

We had Webb leave. Does that count? He had really big feet.

Kinda nice to see after all those years of JA's inept drafting and very limited FA additions on offense. I think one of the reasons he's getting it done so fast is that he's not wasting McCaskey dollars doing it like JA did at times. If you want Phil Emery to pay you you're damn well gonna need to either earn it or prove you deserve it ahead of time and he hasn't been wrong about it very many times.

Given that fact he's getting a green light from Ted Phillips and George McCaskey to go out and get the job done. Phil spends the Bears money like it's coming out of his own pocket and he's getting better at figuring out where to get the biggest bang for the buck.

Um, you might want to consider a change up in yours jackie. The ones you're on must be keeping you awake not the Bears defense. LOL

Yeah those last ones you sold me wernt any good at all. Try to do better in the future.

Groy says hes a long snapper and we got him in the 7th round.

I think using Lynch the right way is going to tear the NFC North apart.

This guy impresses me alot more then our 4th round RB.

Teams like Frisco & Seattle figure somthing like Lynch out and grab him.

We got there first. Whats the name of that short QB Seattle has again ?

A lot more. There would be in effect ... 2 QB's on the field. BTW ... Lynch weighs 217 lbs. I think Carey is 205lbs.
