Yourse truely was southbound out of southwest Wisconsin into Minnisota at around 3:00 am ...

Got lit up by a County mountie in Minnie teritory ...

I get pulled over and am lectured about hitting kids while speeding ... at 3:00 am ?

How do they raise the kids in Minnie ?

Anyways the John Bull sez I cant go any ferther until I drop the $35.00 fine into a mailbox.

Knowing an old CHICAGO trick ... I put chewing gum on the back of the ticket and stuck it on the inside of the mailbox.

The cop took off ... I took off and circled back and retreived the $35.00 from the inside of the mailboxlid.

Went on my way to Des Moines ... watched DAA BEARRSSE play in a hotel room.

    We won.

THE MORAL OF THE STORY : Minnisota ... Wisconsin ... c'mon man!

Would have bought it if the fine was about 125.00, the mailbox was online, and you lifted the cops ticket book. Original Jackie Jokeman would have knocked him the hell out. :toast:

If you spent the time to learn the local customs, you'd know that's when parents send the kids out to hunt for possum for the next days dinner...

I got speeding tickets in SW Pissconsin in 1979 and 1980. one for 57 and one for 58, both in a 55 (the Interstates were all 55 then). Fine was $80 then. And there was no mailing the fine in. Had to follow him to the station and pay in person.
