He looked good in Oakland game. I am looking forward to seeing how he plays against Browns tonight. Physically, he may be the fastest and strongest rookie DL in the NFL. His stats in the combine (jump, bench press, and 40-yd dash in 4.55 were tops. I think he is a great prospect.

I like the kid as well. We seem to have had a hell-of-a draft.

he is a steal for the draft... like almost every pick we had. Scary to think about that if we really got 5 or even 6 starters out of this draft

Emery has the ability to do what JA couldn't find legit talent at all levels of the draft, not all will work out(Hardin) but at this point he's hitting more then not. Shea and Long(regardless of how they work out bust or boom) were risks/reaches so all he really needs to do is settle down the 1st round draft picks and he's going to have the chance to build a dynasty.

Washington was a great pick up, and the best thing is he gets to sit for 1-2 years behind the starters and learn and develop.

Yes. He's had other good plays. He didn't have a sack against Browns, but did get good penetration despite getting double-teamed several times. He has more upside potential than McCllen in my opinion, because of his superior strength and speed. I hope they play him, especially on passing downs.

If Shea is not productive, I hope they give Washington an opportunity to play and move up on the depth chart.

The Bears would be better off if Shea is moved to OLB.

I think Washington played some at LB at Georgia. With his 4.55 speed, we could line him up at OLB and rush with both of them. Might be interesting

Shea's sack looked like it came off of when he was roaming, not lined up as a straight DE, although I never saw a replay of where he lined up from the get go, but it came from inside the line, and not on the outside. This his how he needs to be used. As a Roamer, not as someone that engages the DE.

I agree. Shea isn't going to bull rush anybody. If we can't somehow get more pass rush than today, Packers and Lions will score 30+ on us.
