He's still on the team?
By all accounts Corn is on the outside looking in, he's not even fighting for 5th. Allen/Houston/Young/Scott/Lane It's Bass and Corny for the 6th IMO you go w/Bass who's shown more real game potential then another Webb like athlete w/no real gametape.
We'll see how it goes in the rest of the preseason. I think there is still plenty of competition for the 5th spot, and if CornWash can outperform Bass in the rest of the preseason, I think that -- plus his better upside potential -- can be enough to make it.
He didn't out perform Bass in the last pre season game, what do you mean continue to??
You had to go and ruin it...
muwa ha haaaaaaa
I did not say "continue to." I said outperform Bass in "the rest of the preseason" -- meaning games 2,3,4. Indeed, it would be better to show improvement as the preseason continues, rather than play well in the first game and regress in games 2,3,4. That is why coaches will evaluate their full body of work in preseason before making any final decision.
valid David, but the way you said it made it sound like you thought he did so far also.
But it won't matter if he improves if the others in front of him are still playing at a higher level then he is and/or are improving also. Especially since they can PS his fat ass but cannot the others.
True, he needs to improve and outperform. Are there any stats on how many snaps Bass, CornWash, and Lane got in game 1? I figure if they are likely to cut him, he'll get fewer snaps as the preseason continues. For now, at least, he seems to be getting his share of the playing time compared to Bass and Lane.
