I heard this on my ride home tonight. Forte is said to have "known it was bad", when Cutler went down, and Long said he couldn't hear anything, as the training staff were on the field, surrounding him, almost immediately. Trestman said that Jay is going to be re-evaluated tomorrow, so, we'll probably know for sure, how long he might miss, by then.

David Kaplan tweeted that he thinks it would be similar to what happened to Nomar Garciaparra back in 2005.

Any Cub fan knows what happened. If you aren't a Cub fan......

His groin muscle was ripped off the bone

I hope it isn't that bad, but, I think I'd be lying if I said I wasn't conditioned to it at this point.

I think Cutler is done for the season.

I hate to agree with that, but I think you are right. We will find out later today. The sack looked innocent but I think he tore the muscle pretty bad

It very well can be I believe it is a torn groin. That was not a major hit so what that tells me this injury was more than likely festering for a while. So all it took was just one crazy twist and pop goes the groin.

I agree, DaTreeBears. It looked like a completely innocuous hit.
