Jay Cutler...eat your heart out! He wishes he could make this throw.

Honestly this is one of the most impressive throws I've ever seen a college QB make. I remember watching it LIVE and saying..."WHOA...he'll be playing in the NFL."

Great size 6-5, 240 pounds. And he is an ATHLETE. Size, atheleticism, and arm. The future is bright for this guy.

Scouts have taken notice too. He's on the radar...though he probably won't come out until 2016.

I like his size and arm strength but there was nothing amazing about that throw. Many NFL QBs can do it, too.

It's a damn nice throw, but the dude's got a sub 60% comp % and a 2 to 1 td to int ratio. Those aren't exactly blow you out of the water #'s. Mid round prospect maybe(4-5th)

If he can get it close to a 1:1 ratio, then we're interested. Until then, Cutler can do better.

YOu're living in the past, man.

I don't know if ya'll noticed but Cutler's arm is NOT what it used to be.

He can not make any of those throws anymore.

Ok, now you've gone from "wrong" to trolling.

He had a 74 Yard Pass THIS YEAR against the Falcons:

Doesn't matter. You don't NEED an arm like that to be good.... even ELITE.... in the NFL. There are plenty of QB's considered great in the NFL who didn't have the cannon that Cutler has.

Throwing a ball around like a derp doesn't get you anything even closely resembling "good", much less great or elite.

Now, having said that, there is some credence to the idea that doing the derp is a by-product of him feeling he has to carry the offense by himself, bad play calling, a lack of supporting cast (not likely), etc... But, one thing is for sure... Even with those possibilities, his career has shown a lot of damn bad decision making even when everything IS going his way. Some of those decisions have cost the game. I would say that his bad decision making skills have cost more games than his cannon arm has won.

Again.... having a cannon-arm guided by a pea-brain isn't gonna get you to thru the playoffs.

Sorry, but the NFL defines "passing yards" as the number of yards from the original line of scrimmage and the point that the player was tackled, forced out of bounds, or entered the end zone for a touchdown. That was considered a 74 yard pass.

    Thanks for playing.

do you even know how football works? Loki explained what passing yards means and how it defined.

But, lets look at your hero boy...video claims it was a "58 yard Pass" but the receiver caught it at the 28 Yard Line!! and ran the rest of the way, making that pass "only" 30 yards through the air.

Shhh! You and I both know that the desire to get rid of Jay has some people applying standards to him that nobody else has to live up to.

Did I, in my op, ever sayi anything about the distance of the throw???

    No.

I think it was amazing throw for the fact that he threw a 30 yd laser right down the middle of the field in a perfect spot where only the WR could get it.

If you guys think "amazing throws" only have to do with distance in the air, then you know nothing about playing QB.
