Cowboys evaluating all options for replacing LB Sean Lee, including vets like Brian Urlacher and Jon Vilma. Will likely be 2-player platoon.

The Dallas Cowboys are in a bad place at linebacker after losing Sean Lee for the 2014 season to a torn ACL. They're looking in-house for potential replacements, but might they take a gander at some big-name veterans?

Ed Werder of ESPN reports it's possible and names names. Specifically, the Cowboys are "evaluating all options" for replacing Lee, including former Bears superstar Brian Urlacher and formerSaints linebacker Jonathan Vilma.

Urlacher, 36 (!), retired after the 2012 season (just over a year ago actually) when the Bears declined to bring him back. He spent last season primarily working on FOX Sports 1's daily football show and Werder reports him landing in Dallas is "unlikely."

I believe Brian Urlacher unlikely _ and I'm told nothing imminent _ but source says he took notice when Sean Lee hurt. Mentioned Cowboys LY

I hope he plays for them. Especially with the Cowboys on our schedule. The dude played a year too long in Chicago. He would be fun to destroy in the running game.

I loved when Urlacher blew up Kreutz against the Saints, and I'd love to see Long blow up Urlacher if he were to switch teams. I think Lach is happy to be retired now though, no one offered him a contract for a reason and he doesn't strike me as the type who stays in football shape beyond retirement.
