I loved his statement on this:

"If he can play, everybody will love him," Hampton told CSN from the Chicago Auto Show Monday. "At some point, the kid is going to have to prove that he can shed blocks and make plays. "If he can do that, nobody cares if he's from Mars. If he can play, he can play. I've never seen a football team that's not willing to accept a great player no matter what baggage he brings."

I think they'll accept them, the way they would have accepted Te'O or anyone else; that doesn't mean he won't get some serious teasing or hazing or whatever you want to call it. He'll get some shit, but if he plays well and handles the others players well it will all end as quickly as it started.

Ric, you are beyond clueless in regards to understanding human behavior. With that said, not every locker room would be a good one for him, but I would put dollars to dimes that basically any team with a head coach that's irreplaceable (see: SF, NE, Chi) would be the best bet. Honestly hope he goes to New England, because Bellichick will treat nonsense questions with the dignity they deserve.

If anyone teases him for being gay, then there will be issues.

Because chances are that person, and not Sam, will be the one who will be an outcast
