I wouldn't be surprised if when we do go after a safety that safety isn't his original position. Emery said he's looking for corners with length and I'd love Smith as a SS prospect.

I am not so worried on FS as I am SS. I hope Conti improves, Mundy gives good Competition, and Frey slides from nickel to FS and wins the starting job. Thats 3 fighting for one spot. Nervous about SS though and really Like converting Telvin Smith to SS and the flexibility. A tweener LB at 218 pounds but 4.4 or 4.5 speed and good in coverage as LB against TE.

A SS with a LB attitude. That would make the draft for me after what we have already done.

I think Loston, Huff or Vereen could come in and challenge for a spot.

Same here, Telvin Smith would really perfect the draft in my eyes. He can obviously tackle if he's been playing LB and he'd bring an attitude to the S position that we're sorely lacking.. not to mention tackling ability. He's got the speed we need.

Thinking Emery will surprise us and take McCarren (qb) Rd 2 or 3 talent that has fallen. Phil said no value after rd 3 but this guy is rated above 3 and still there. Just sayin

Yeah I could see that, the dude is accurate and would do well to sit behind Jay and absorb as much as he can. Might be a good fit for Trest and if the value is above 3 and he's high on their board I'm sure they'd pull the trigger. It's not like if a first round talent dropped past 3/4 that he'd be like "well I said that one time that no QB's are worth it here so I won't draft him".

Looking at NFL.com board still a lot of talented players ahead of Bailey. He is on the 10th page based on grade. Not sure how Emery ranks obviously but not that impressed.

There's a couple of S prospects left plus some CBs who may be able to convert. There's also a few MLB types and a ton of RBs. Those are all spots it would be nice to cover.

I like Brock Vereen. He's one of the best players remaining in this draft and has played both CB and Safety. He'd be a nice pickup if he's still on the board when we pick.

CB Pierre Desir, would be a great pick too. For quite some time I've been hoping he'd be one of our picks in this draft. He's a "project" but he'd be a steal right now.
