Living near Eastern Illinois University, I really like Jimmy Garoppolo and I have mentioned him here before. Obviously, with the Cutler contract, this is rather far fetched for the Bears, but he showed up today and I look forward to seeing him play next week in the Senior Bowl. Here are some other guys that stood out to me today. I'm not suggesting we draft any of these guys, I'm just sharing some names for the consumption of the rest of the board.

    Offense:
    Jordan Nijver, TE, Baylor
Eric Lora, WR, Eastern Illinois (Garoppolo's favorite target)
Chandler Jones, WR, San Jose St.
    Ricardo Allen, WR/RETURNER, Purdue

    More importantly, Defense:
    Will Clark, DE, West Virginia
    Beau Allen, DT, Wisconsin
    Larry Webster, DE, Bloomsberg
    Tre Boston, FS, North Carolina
    Kerry Wynn, DE, Richmond
    Alden Darby, Safety, Arizona State
    Ross Cockrell, CB, Duke
Ethan Brooks, DE, West Texas A&M

Each of these players "made plays" when they were given the opportunity to play.

Good list and after watching I agree with most, especially Chandler Jones and Beau Allen. I really hope Emery goes after those two.

How ironic if we draft the 2014 Chandler Jones; should of been the 2012 Chandler Jones. At least we can say then we have Chandler Jones.

Yea, I did see that. In fact, that was one of the times "I Mentioned him before". You have to wonder if he was just doing his due diligence since that was BEFORE he signed Cutler, of if they really do have a mind to draft a young kid to groom. If they do have an interest, Garoppolo would be a good choice since, as a small school product, he would have at least three years to grow under Cutty. However, after last night, if he has another good showing at the Senior Bowl, he may go earlier than we want him to.

Regardless, it's something fun to talk about and follow if nothing else.

Will Clark played baseball, Will Clarke is a damn fine and extremely underrated DL prospect who reminds me an awful lot of Wootton. I'd take him in the second if he's there.
