Darn, Miller was looking good there for the #2 TE behind Bennett.......now its Rosario's turn and the other guy (forgot his name) to fight for that back up TE spot.

Time for Mulligan and Mastrud to step up in the next two games. And Phil must draft a TE early in next year's draft.

So much for the 2 TE set. Now M.Wilson will be missed even more.

This isn't a personal attack, but other than his measurables, a few press conferences, and a workout with Marshall and Jeffery what has he proven? Nothing. He caught 2 balls last year for 13 yards. Sure his measurables suggest a promising player, but so far he hasn't been productive. We need production. Right now, J. Morgan has more production than anyone the Bears have lined up @ #3. I'll be disappointed if he doesn't get a stab at the #3 role in game 3.

Holy cow, are you serious?!! Can anyone post the Anchorman "Well that escalated quickly" GIF? I think it would be appropriate here. Thanks.

Damn..from knocking our socks off last week to getting injured and now cut. I didn't see that coming. So much for our "2 TE BEAST formation" featuring Bennett and Miller. :(

EDIT: Whoops....I had obviously posted this message before I read through the entire thread. tee-hee...looks like someone beat me to the Anchorman gif/meme. tee-hee! :)

Why Morgan and a few other WR's have proven more then capable of stepping in, and while Rosario/Mulligan/Mastrud haven't lit up the PS, they have been solid. I wouldn't worry to much about M Wilson he was having a good TC, but it never had a shot to get going in even 1 PS game so we really don't know what the team is missing.

Well this sucks and it's a shame Miller just can't stay healthy year after year. Now we know why a guy with his athletic talent has never made an impression in the NFL. You can't get snaps and make plays from the couch. This all but guarantees Rosario a roster spot and leaves Mulligan/Mastroud fighting it out for the 3rd TE position.

Broadening out the discussion a little to alternative O weapons, Morgan is clearly the best pass catcher we have left on the active roster right now. Get him some major 1st half reps the next two PS games. I'm fed the hell up with the asinine Weems experiment both as a "#3 WR" (which LMFAO he is NOT) or as a return man (which is NO LONGER). Please please cut his ass. Morgan, Williams, and Spurlock should be our WR/PR/KR corps pending Wilson's return.

It's heartbreaking. This guy was special. We needed him. After Marquess Wilson bit the dust, we really have nothing special at WR. Just some mediocre guys who are marginal NFL players. At TE we have Rosaro who is a notch below Miller, but not too bad. Mulligan is not much of a TE though. He looks sooooooooo slow out there. An NFL wannabee.

Wilson will be back for the ATL game in week 6, so we just need to find a replacement for the first five games of the season. And at this point of PS I believe Morgan could fill in and be #3.

Seriously guys, the offense is really not the problem. I am more concerned with the defense and ST. DeCamillis sucks and I don't think Tucker can turn it around this year.

Marquis Wilson looks like he could be very special. Alshon Jeffery special. The remaining WR's are very mediocre. As far as our remaining TE's, Rosario looks like the best left, but very mediocre. Mulligan looks really bad to me.

Mulligan is more of a blocker which has always what he brought to the table. If we keep him and Rosario, that's probably the best they can do.

Mastrud looks about as athletic as an OT. It's be Rosario and Mulligan now.

Damn but that's just crazy. Even earlier in the week Trestman was saying how he wasn't "anointing" (Tresty's new favorite word) after just one game and that they had to get him through camp healthy and bam, this!

I wonder if they can keep him on IR and bring him back later in the year if he passes through waivers? Gotta research that one. Of course if it's a broken foot and he needs surgery that's not gonna happen anyway.

Webb looked special too, so does Shea, looking like and producing aren't the same. I have/had faith he'd had a good year, but he wasn't going to be a 3rd 1K WR or anything close to that either. Morgan looks just fine for a #3, a clear improvement over Earl and he's a vet so he knows how to play in the NFL regular season.

The #3 was never going to be as big as many thought anyways the Bears #3 WR is their 5 option to throw to how often does the 5th weapon ever get used on ANY NFL team? Wilson was a loss, but it's not the end of the world, Miller was a loss, but again not the end of the world.
