Yet another position we need to fill, IMHO.

should be wide open b/c there isn't one on the roster right now. Pudless should have been cut.

I would think one of the first (and perhaps easiest) thing for the expanded scouting dept. can do is find Pudless' replacement. Really thought they were going to cut him during the season last year but he finally decided to show up somewhat and hold onto his job.

he was never great to begin with, why they gave him a 10 mil contract is beyond my comprehension.

I wonder if the woes are related to the 2012 injury? He was a pretty solid punter before that happened, and one of the better ones we've had over the years. I like having a veteran punter like Podlesh - if - the guy can return to form. It's beginning to look like we're replacing a ton of players already though. Maybe replacing yet one more guy doesn't matter.

When I saw the title of this thread, all I could think of is the horrible song from Creed "Arms Wide Open". Which is how Emery is going to welcome Podlesh back to the team.

I know at one point (I wanna say week 15ish?) we had the worst punt average in the league.

Yeah, as been said, he shouldn't even have the chance to compete considering his suck level since arriving.

Anybody remember how long Maynard lasted ? I expected the same from Podlish.

Coming out of Jacksonville the guy had good numbers and was good for one season. What happened ?
