Thanks for summarizing Emerys comments. This am is first chance I had to look at it. no real surprises to me and he clarified is position on a QB. Interesting no mention of TE. If his Donald comments are true I would expect him to trade down a bit. If he can rape San Francisco he may get enough ammo to crawl back up a bit if he needs to.
I guarantee you that we won't draft Donald.
And there will be at least one WTF pick, count on it. ;-)
IMO, Emery is not taking Donald at 14, even if he is there. He doesn't fit the Emery mold. With the FA d-line signings this off-season, I really don't see them going d-line in the first. If I had to bet my hard-earned money, I'm pretty convinced he's going Safety if he stays at 14.
exactly! I see either a safety, corner or CJ Mosley in the first round. To many DT later in the draft that fit the Bears scheme.
As much as some of us have grown fond of Donald based on 97% of the mock drafts out there, I think you conclusion has a lot of merit. I also agree with your WTF prediction.
This is why I love the draft, you never know whats going to happen.
There is a lot of merit to this opinion as well. We have already amped up the D-Line, so I could easily see us addressing other needs.
I caught my share of flack the last month and even got Soul so mad he left for a while but I predicted DB, primarily S, before Donald back then. Nice to know I wasnt crazy.
lol Soul left b/c people disagreed with him? SHOCKING!
If Donald is there, and they do have him ranked in the top 10, I cannot imagine them not taking him, IF they don't have others ranked higher them him on the board.
But they'll regret it down the line b/c they'll struggle to get a starting S when they could have gotten a starting DT later.
Lots of ifs going on. Ifs And buts, candy and nuts. LOL showing my age I guess.:bouncelaugh::smilebig:
