A trade with possibly the Niners wouldn't surprise me either. The pick at #56, #61, #77, #94 & #100. I'm not sure we could get one of those 3rd rd picks for moving down 5 picks but if we could I would do it in a second.

If you watch the Alabama vs Notre Dame national championship game, Nix was one of the few Notre Dame defenders who actually did anything. He was giving their interior linemen fits (including one of last year's message board favorites, Barrett Jones). Judge for yourselves...

I like the kid. If he checks out medically and they think they can keep that belly in check, I think he'd be a good value, if he even makes it to 51.

seems whenever he wanted to be 5yards behind the line he was. a few of those swing passes or runs ot the outside he tracked down the rb also, not bad for a 300+lb DT.

Hageman. He has a higher ceiling. I would have been pissed if we had taken him at 14. The second round is more appropriate to roll the dice on him.

Sutton was inconsistent in his effort, and he has a weight issue too IMO. While I question Nix's weight, his effort is never in doubt, so I feel like Nix will be fine on the next level in that regard. Sutton can get lazy in games.

    2nd- Best available DT
3rd- Ka'Deem Carey RB (Undervalued and dominated at the collegiate level. Do not let the 4.70 40 fool you... he's very physical and is a true power back unlike the Michael Bush, Cedric Benson, and Marion Barber trash we used to have.)

Also, FWIW, it looks like Sutton is seen as a 2nd-3rd round talent. Nix & Hageman are rated as 1st-2nd round talents.

I agree BD. He can run over ya or make you miss. Great feet, very good receiver & imho a good backup to Forte.
