I'd love to see us trade down if we could find a team to do this.

I was just considering trades earlier today. Cleveland has a boat load of picks and they have two in the third. If they go something other than QB with their early 1st round pick, then they may be inclined to move up from 26 to 14 to get a QB that they covet. With that said, there is really no one between us at 14 and them at 26 that would be in the market for a QB, so chances are if the QB they want is still there at 14, he's likely to still be there at 26. None the less, I would love to swap positions with them for their 3rd round picks. Actually, I would be jumping for joy, so I have to assume it's a little far fetched.

If we could get a team to trade down with, I'd be jumping for joy too. It would be huge to have another pick in this draft. The key to the Bears success is primarily through the draft. Add FA's as needed, but often that's a pricey way to get players. We could sure use an extra draft pick with all of our needs right now.

I'm not so sure about trading down. While it would get us 2 or 3 more picks, it might mean we miss out on getting one to the top DTs in the draft. Can we take that risk?

Sometimes you have to skip the elite player to get a couple three fantastic-really good players. 1 Elite player will not turn the tide for the D this year, they need multiple day 1 starting capable players.
